We have not seen any rust that would not clean up well. You can also expect anywhere from minimal bluing wear to a lot of bluing wear, and we have even seen some surface rust on a few. * About the Grading -The rifles have dents, dings, scrapes, gouges, discoloration and possible small cracks in the stocks. Most will be missing their cleaning rods and sight hoods so no guarantees on those. Expect standard digs, dings, minor stock cracks and bluing wear but all are very functional and should make great shooters in addition to being nice surplus collector pieces. These rifles are in original surplus turn in condition and will have an overall average condition of high end Fair to mostly Surplus Good cosmetic condition. By 1944, the number of employees at Oberndorf had skyrocketed to an amazing 12,000 people with production being concentrated on the Models 98K, Luger, P-38 and HSC.
